SNOB Hotel, chic boutique in the heart of Les Halles

Summary

Parisian boutique elegance: chic, cosy, and centrally located.

Description

SNOB Hotel, located at 84–86 rue Saint‑Denis in Paris’s 1st arrondissement, is a four‑star boutique celebrating “the Parisienne” in a décor that is both bourgeois and contemporary. Designed by Dorothée Delaye and Daphné Desjeux, it features 24 refined rooms adorned with velvet, houndstooth patterns, and Renaissance-inspired portraits in shades of onyx, burgundy, and gold.

Each morning, guests may enjoy a local breakfast in a cosy alcove – artisanal pastries, breads, aromatic coffee – before exploring the vibrant Les Halles district, the Pompidou Centre, or rue de Rivoli. With no on-site restaurant, the hotel relies on surrounding bistros, cafés, and a gourmet Monoprix just steps away.

Despite their compact size (10–18 m²), rooms are smartly furnished with free Wi‑Fi, air conditioning, flat-screen TV with Chromecast, safe, and well-designed en‑suite bathrooms. Some rooms overlook the lively street or quiet courtyard; the “Impertinente” room even boasts a balcony – a nod to true Parisian living.

The hotel is wheelchair-accessible, including an elevator, and offers a 24/7 front desk with multilingual staff ready to arrange excursions, taxis, or luggage storage. SNOB also holds the European Ecolabel, reflecting its eco-responsible operations.

Guests are mainly couples and style-conscious urban travellers who appreciate proximity to cultural highlights such as the Louvre and Notre‑Dame, and the district’s buzz. Visitors praise the personalised service, cleanliness, and intimate atmosphere – though rooms are described as stylishly compact . Legend has it that a touch of Boris Vian’s “snob spirit” lingers here, at the meeting point of bourgeois refinement and irreverent chic.
