Set in a splendid Napoleon III townhouse built around 1860 by a student of Garnier, the Fragonard Perfume Museum offers a unique sensory journey just a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier. Visitors follow a playful and educational route exploring every stage of perfume making—raw materials, distillation, blending, bottling—with a historic perfume organ on display.

The museum showcases an exceptional collection of antique perfumery objects: bottles, pomanders, stills, travel kits, kohl pots, and burners dating from Antiquity to the early 20th century. Period ceilings, moldings, parquet floors, and original fireplaces create an elegant, immersive atmosphere.

Entry is free and self-guided, enhanced by multilingual audio guides via QR codes (French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese). Guided tours depart every 30 minutes from 9 AM to 5:30 PM (last tour at 4:30 PM on Sundays).

Open to all audiences—perfume lovers, families, or curious minds—the museum also offers paid creative workshops: the “Apprentice Perfumer” (about €30, ~1 hour), premium guided tours (€10–20) with a welcome gift, ideal for a personalized experience.

At the end, explore the museum shop featuring the full range of Fragonard products, including perfumes, toiletry items, candles, diffusers, and gift sets, as well as a second shop at 5 rue Boudreau.
