A cozy, creative bakery at Turbigo offering artisan bread, pastries, and a sumptuous weekend brunch.
Description
Located at 18 Rue de Turbigo, BO & MIE Turbigo opened in November 2017 as the flagship bakery of the BO & MIE brand, founded by Ferrandi-trained baker Jean‑François Bandet. Driven by a passion for traditional French bakery and innovation, the bakery crafts all products in-house, with no preservatives, using Label Rouge local flours and slow 24-hour fermentations for maximum flavor and digestibility.
The spacious 240 m² premises feature a bright, modern décor and offer seating for around thirty guests, who can watch bakers shaping loaves from their tables. It’s perfect for breakfast, a mid‑day snack or a light lunch.
The bread selection is wide and seasonal: classic baguettes, praliné bread, cereal breads, apricot‑cranberry loaves, and olive‑marbled tigré bread. Viennoiseries are pure butter and highly creative, such as raspberry croissants, praliné croissants, NY rolls and cinnamon rolls. Pastries include vanilla or praliné flan, cheesecake, reinvented tiramisu, kouign‑amann, chocolate‑praliné cookie shot and walnut brownies.
Their highly praised Sunday brunch (€22.90) features unlimited viennoiseries, fresh orange juice, hot beverage (coffee, tea or chocolate), fruit salad, tartines and a savory plate (quiche, croque‑monsieur or tartine). Reservations are strongly recommended due to its popularity.
A mixed clientele — locals, remote workers, pastry lovers — praise the friendly service, consistent quality and affordable prices for Paris (around €1–10 per person). Signature offerings like the flan and praliné croissants or pain au chocolat often wow customers. One Reddit user even declared Bo & MIE among the best spots in Paris for pain au chocolat.
BO & MIE Turbigo is open Tuesday to Saturday from 7:30 am to 8 pm, Sunday from 8:00 am to about 7–8 pm; closed on Mondays. It’s easily accessible via Métro Étienne Marcel (Line 4), near Châtelet‑Les Halles RER, with bus lines and paid parking nearby.
In short, BO & MIE Turbigo impresses with its artisanal craftsmanship, sleek ambiance, pastry creativity and excellent value. Whether you’re in for Sunday brunch or a gourmet break, it’s a must‑visit in Paris.
